Last Friday I attended the open house for my client Well-Bred Bakery’s new production kitchen. It was a great celebration of a project many, many months in the planning and making. Hats off to general manager Laura Bogard for fantastic work leading the charge. The previous kitchen was a small space at the back of the Weaverville bakery. Out of that space they made everything fresh for both Weaverville and Biltmore Village locations.
In the new space – only a few miles from the Weaverville bakery in a commercial building owned by Well-Bred owner Judy Glicken and her husband – nobody is bumping into anyone. They have three giant walk in freezers. There are solar panels for electricity and on-demand instant water heaters. There’s a large yet cosy space upstairs for the employee lounge. Job well done!
I look forward to helping Judy (rock star entrepreneur!) and her amazing team do great things with the expanded production capability of the new kitchen.
